I want you to post anything that you want, and post it anonymously. Anything; a secret, a confession, a fear, a love, your opinion about me -- anything. Be sure to post anonymously and honestly. Then, put this in your LJ to see what your friends (and perhaps others who you don't even realize read your LJ) have to say.

I don’t post this to let you depress yourself with the horrible situations that occur in the world. I post this because there is something you can do to make a difference for the people it affects. I guess I’m asking you to send the letter (if you read the following information and are appalled and outraged by the situation, and want to help), not to feel guilty of living in fortunate conditions. Remember that there is beauty in this world too. stop rape now.
About V-Day Stop Raping our Greatest Resource: Power to Women in the DRC is a new global campaign to call attention to the wide-scale atrocities committed against women and girls in Eastern DRC and demand an end to the impunity with which these crimes are committed.
"I have just returned from hell. I am trying for the life of me to figure out how to communicate what I have seen and heard in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. How do I convey these stories of atrocities without your shutting down, quickly turning the page or feeling too disturbed?" - Eve Ensler (full article note- its graphic and disturbing).
How you can help:
Write to the President of DRC, His Excellency the President of DR Congo Joseph Kabila Kabange, urging the Government to do more to stop violence against women and girls and bring perpetrators to justice. Send letters C/O UN Action against Sexual Violence in Conflict (UN Action Against Sexual Violence in Conflict, P.O. Box 3862, New York, NY 10163). Become a founding supporter of the City of Joy by . , your friends and your community. Hold reading groups and learn about women and girls in the DRC and other conflict zones around the world.

I would like for anyone reading this to leave an anonymous comment with whatever is on their mind right now. Thoughts about themselves, about me, about life the universe and everything in between. Whatever, however random...i am honestly interested in hearing your thoughts.
